Caduseus I

Since their first run, the team has found a garage with a loft to live in. The other side did not find a suitable place to live and continued to look for accommodation on their own.

Soon enough, Kriss contacts them again and arranges a meeting at the Jackrabbit to meet a new Johnson. Quite well known as a notorious arms dealer. They meet Hammerhead, Johnson for LoneStar. Dressed in a suede suit, she has her blond hair in dreadlocks, tied in a chin-up. She is accompanied by an orc bodyguard and a human assistant, both dressed in fashionable charcoal black. She offers them a run at stealing weapons. The weapons, decommissioned machine pistols, are to be transferred abroad within two days. In the meantime, they are stored in the warehouse of an Ares subsidiary, Caduseus.

As the storage is secure, she has no more information to give them. After all, they are the professionals. For this run, she offered them 20,000 NY, which they quickly turned into 30,000, arguing that they had little information. The research was going to cost a lot in confidences.

The first contact was with the journalist Vicky Parker, a friend of his, with whom he had not been in contact for a long time. Delighted to hear from him, she tells him that she would like him to buy her dinner and have him to herself afterwards. Resigned, the face goes to work.

He returns with details on Caduseus, the excessively discreet 'fuse' subsidiary of Ares. It specialises in bio-technologies and bacteriological and chemical warfare. It does not advertise, does not communicate and selects its clients according to their needs. The journalist does not know where their warehouses are and does not know anyone who might have this information.

His second contact is a Lone Star agent who knows nothing about Caduceus but has an informant in Renton who can get them his information. They meet Frederic, a bartender at the Leaky Cauldron, who for a fee will find the warehouse's location and a way in. A few hundred New Yorkers later, Frederic explains that access is possible by posing as company truck drivers. They need to find an M1075 "Oshkosh", and create the opportunity to enter the Caduceus warehouse.

A video on SeaNet shows the Spikes' leader failing miserably in an attack on what appears to be their target, repelled by rocket fire and armed turrets, with many casualties. This reinforces their idea of a discreet entry. Further research into the M1075s tells them of a garage in Tacoma that services and repairs Caduceus'. They locate the garage and go inside at night to check on the trucks. The trucks are there, but in racing colours. They then wait for the manager to arrive to make a "loan" agreement with the good Vantablack paint, standard at Caduseus. Who definitely doesn't do anything like everyone else.

The opportunity has to be created. They start to lurk around the warehouse. The warehouse is actually on the border of Tacoma and Renton and is the focus of a turf war between the Spikes, a troll gang, and the Night Hunters, a gang from Renton.

It was during a scouting trip in the bounty hunter's SUV that they were surprised by three members of the Spikes gang.
